On February 20, 2021, the Department of Integrated Circuit Processes and Equipment was officially established in the College of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. On January 28, 2021, Beihang College of Integrated Circuits organized experts from home and abroad to discuss and review the construction plan of the Department of Processes and Equipment, and the expert group believes that Beihang College of Integrated Circuits has complete conditions and distinctive features in the direction of processes and equipment. In the context of national strategy and industrial needs, it is timely to establish the Department of IC process and equipment, which is a pioneer in the construction of IC disciplines and inspiring.
The Department of Process and Equipment will increase the reform and exploration of talent training mode and faculty construction, reposition the function of basic courses for students, and strengthen the requirements of practical training. The Department will highlight the characteristics of international collaborative education and focus on the development of enterprise joint training professional master's degree and engineering doctorate training mode. Create a "platform + module" curriculum structure, relying on the college's high-quality courses and the experimental platform resources of the Micro-Nano Center, and implant experimental training into the modular curriculum content. Cooperate with enterprises to set up "orientation classes" and carry out collaborative education for the shortage of talents in IC process and equipment; attract and cultivate high-quality teachers for industry-education integration, with two-way flow of teachers and shared education and teaching resources; set up research groups under the framework of joint laboratories, and cooperate to cultivate high level R&D talents for industry applications with the carrier of industry-oriented projects.
