From May 12 to 15, 2004, the Asecretariat of Association of Chinese Graduate Schools held a meeting on the draft of "Research on Foreign Universities" in Changping, Beijing (Petroleum University is responsible for the meeting). The meeting was attended by the deans and main authors of the 28 graduate schools participating in this topic, and the responsible comrades of Higher Education Press were also invited to attend the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xu Boliang, the director of the comprehensive department of the Academic Degrees Office of the State Council. The meeting reached a consensus on the specification, revision requirements and deadline of the manuscript.
