On March 5, 2010, the Annual Presidents' Meeting of the Association of Graduate Schools in China (AGCS) was held in Peking University. President Zhou Qifeng of Peking University, Dean Wang Enge of Graduate School of Peking University, Executive Vice President Wang Yanglin of Graduate School of Peking University, Vice President Cheng Chongqing of Nanjing University and Dean of Graduate School of Nanjing University, Executive Vice President Guo Xiangqun of Graduate School of Xiamen University and Director Liao Xiaoling of the Secretariat of AGCS attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Cheng Chongqing of Graduate School of Nanjing University, the rotating chairman of the Joint Committee in 2010. The participants of the meeting conducted a serious study and warm discussion on the main work to be carried out in 2010, and reached a consensus. The meeting decided to publish the Annual Report of China Graduate Education 2009 and continue the preparation of the Annual Report of China Graduate Education 2010; to launch the research project of "Suggestions on the Construction of Chinese Graduate Schools", which is funded by the Innovation Project of Graduate Education; to coordinate with the Scholarship Council and other relevant parties to facilitate the The project of "Study Program for Graduate School Deans in Europe and America" was launched; the planning, preparation and organization of "PHD WORKSHOR IN CHINA 2010" was carried out in cooperation with the Society for International Exchange in Education; the work of "Supporting Graduate Education in Western Region" was continued. "It was decided to arrange for the President of the Joint Committee to attend the 2010 annual meeting of CGS and the "Global Strategic Leadership Summit on Graduate Education (2010)" in the United States. The meeting also discussed issues such as the 2010 working session and the 2010 annual meeting of the Joint Committee.
The meeting was conducted in a relaxed and warm atmosphere from the beginning to the end. The meeting achieved the expected purpose.
