The Second Working Meeting of Chair Deans in 2021 was held

In the afternoon of June 30, the second working meeting of the presidents of the Association of Chinese Graduate Schools(ACGS）in 2021 was held by Tencent video conference. Jiang Guohua, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Peking University, Liao Xiaoling, Director of the Secretariat of the Joint Council of Deans, Wang Junzheng, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhao Hongduo, President of Graduate School of Tongji University, Wan Xuehong, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Sichuan University, Zheng Gang, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Tianjin University, and Zhang Liqian, Director of Comprehensive Management Office attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by President Zheng Gang, the rotating chairman of the Joint Council of Deans in 2021. Zheng Gang made an overall report on the preparations for the admission of new members to the Joint Council in 2021, the submission of application materials, the evaluation arrangements and the preparations for the annual meeting of the Joint Council in 2021, and the participants communicated, exchanged and discussed deeply around the report of President Zheng Gang. The meeting adopted the evaluation method of accepting new members into the Association (for trial implementation), agreed on the composition of the evaluation committee and the time of the evaluation committee meeting, etc.; the meeting discussed the meeting schedule of the 2021 annual meeting of the Joint Council of Deans, the five topics of parallel seminars, invited leaders of the Ministry of Education and relevant departments and bureaus, and prepared the reporters and moderators of the annual meeting. The meeting also briefly informed the progress of the construction of the new website of the Joint Council of Deans and confirmed that it would be put online for trial operation on the occasion of the 100th anniversary(2021.07.01) of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

The meeting achieved its expected purpose, which was an efficient working meeting to ensure that the expert review process for admitting new members to the Association and the preparatory work for the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Joint Presidents' Association could proceed smoothly.
