Association of Chinese Graduate Schools(ACGS）held a seminar on further reform of postgraduate training mechanism in Guangzhou (Jinan University) from Dec. 8 to 10, 2006. The meeting was attended by relevant leaders of the Academic Degrees Office of the State Council and deans or executive vice deans of graduate schools of pilot schools.

　　The meeting exchanged the possible problems and corresponding countermeasures concerning the pilot implementation of the reform of postgraduate cultivation mechanism; discussed the specific suggestions to the Ministry of Education and relevant departments of the State for the pilot implementation of the reform of postgraduate cultivation mechanism; and discussed the report of "Suggestions on Several Opinions on the Pilot Implementation of the Reform of Postgraduate Cultivation Mechanism" to be submitted to the Ministry of Education. "The report was discussed.

　　At the meeting, everyone expressed their opinions and spoke freely, and the atmosphere of the meeting was very enthusiastic. After serious and intense discussion, we reached a new consensus on many issues.
