In the afternoon of September 11, 2020, the Review Meeting of Major Topics of Graduate Education Research 2020 of China Postgraduate Deans Association was successfully held. Considering the epidemic prevention and control, this review was held in the form of online meeting evaluation. The review panel of the meeting was composed of Prof. Chen Yiyi, former Executive Vice President of Tongji University and former Deputy Director of the Engineering Instruction Committee, Prof. Yang Lihua, Vice President of Graduate School of Peking University, Prof. Li Jianqiang, Member and Secretary General of China Agricultural University and National Steering Committee for Graduate Education in Agricultural Specialties, Prof. Zheng Gang, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Tianjin University, Prof. Zhou Xianli, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Southwest Jiaotong University, and Prof. Zhang Wen, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of East China Normal University, and Prof. Huang Hongwei, President of Graduate School of Tongji University. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Huang Hongwei. Liao Xiaoling, Director of the Secretariat of the Joint Association of Deans of Graduate Schools of China, attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Chen Yiyi was unanimously recommended by the members of the expert group to be the leader of the expert group of this review meeting.
The Association of Chinese Graduate Schools(ACGS）Graduate Education Research 2020 Major Project set up three directions, research on the construction of graduate instructors, research on how graduate education plays an important role in the economic and social development of western China, and research on the construction of interdisciplinary disciplines and their graduate training. On the basis of listening to the report of the applicants, questions and communication, the expert group at the meeting made pertinent suggestions to each application project.
Finally, the expert group discussed and formed the evaluation resolution to determine the leading units of the projects to be funded, with the Graduate School of Beijing University of Technology as the leading unit for the research direction of the construction of graduate instructors, the Graduate School of Sichuan University as the leading unit for the research direction of how graduate education plays an important role in the economic and social development of western China, and the Graduate School of Harbin Institute of Technology as the leading unit for the research direction of the construction of interdisciplinary disciplines and their graduate training. Graduate School of Harbin Institute of Technology as the leading unit. In addition, the expert group also proposed further integration and improvement of the projects to be funded in each direction.
